FASCIA STRETCH TRACK | YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
WHAT IS FASCIA? HOW DOES IT RELATE TO YOGA?
Fascia is the connective tissue & "scaffolding network" that wraps internal structures, muscles & organs. Fascia can become restricted due to injury, overuse, trauma, aging decline or inactivity. This results in pain, muscle tension, diminished blood flow and reduced ability to heal. Myofascial release through Fascia Stretch Yoga, improves these dysfunctions, deepens yoga practice and stimulates healing.
Yoga Alliance RYT200 accredited study of
traditional & modern yogic principles exploring a range of yoga postures and class plan development. Emphasis on beneficial effects of yoga for new, aging or injured students applying fascial mobility & bio-mechanical patterning. Sequence design includes yogic development of:
Awareness Breath practice and meditation to still the mind, connect mind-body and observe
limitations & resistance - as a foundation of yoga practice.
Flexibility Build on awareness by opening and stretching key areas of the body.
Balance Explore and tune the body-mind’s natural wisdom, core and balance.
Strength Develop and hone mental and physical strength without injury.
Endurance Deepen exploration of yoga practice and asanas, for fullest expression.
Integration Blends the physiological, mental and spiritual changes cultivated for an integrative, transformational yoga experience.
