Thankful for Moments of Mindfulness

Yikes life can be difficult. People want you to do things you are not sure you want to do. People disappoint you with carelessness. Innocent animals and children suffer around the globe. Especially elephants, why do sad stories of them break my heart? Everywhere it is easy to find evidence for the ugliness, the sadness in this world. How can we cope? I can I cope? Better question: How can we THRIVE? How can I thrive?

Each day that I must teach a class, I am grateful.

For an hour I feel connected with others, I feel connected to the Universe. I feel that the world makes sense and I am an important part of the cycle of Life.

Don't ask me why sitting on a mat in a sacred setting, being with others, breathing, letting go and striving to go beyond my limits gently - makes me feel better. I don't know how it works, but it does for me.

I wish I had a class to go to right now.

I know I would feel better.
